News and Events
In Memory of Ethan Williams (8/8/2001 - 1/28/2010) who lost his courageous fight against a brain stem tumor. We will truly miss you. You have been an inspiration to all of us.

Skills for the 21st Century
Business, education, and governmental groups have identified skills they believe are essential for students to be successful in the 21st Century. Some of the skills are critical thinking and problem solving; communication and collaboration; creativity and innovation; information, media and technology literacy; flexibility and adaptability; initiative and self-direction; social and cross-cultural interaction; and leadership and responsibility.
The staff at Allen Frear have been working to develop these skills in our students. We will continue to refine our practices to meet the needs of EVERY student through our COLLABORATIVE LEARNING COMMUNITY (CLC). Please click here to view more information regarding our CLC.
MODELS OF EXCELLENCE
The Lt. Governor's Office recognized Allen Frear Elementary as a MODELS OF EXCELLENCE school. The award identifies schools that have improved student achievement for all students through their school-wide efforts/programs. Our school-wide program, Collaborative Learning Community (CLC), was identified as the exemplary practice used to improve student acheivement and is a model for other schools in the state to emulate.
Congratulations to the Allen Frear Community!
Allen Frear was recognized as a Superior School for 2009.

The Allen Frear Student Council would like to thank everyone for their donations to the Kent County SPCA. Since the shelter is still in need of items for the cats and dogs, we will continue to collect items through the remainder of the year. Thank you for your support.
